Original gilt stamped cloth over boards, 201 pp.; an account of the author’s trip with guides through the Adirondack Mountains in New York State, specifically the Indian Pass, at a time when the area was a true wilderness. Corners and spine ends bumped, wear at top of spine with fabric frayed; some faint green bleed-through from the cloth to the yellow endpapers, some splitting at the signatures though binding is sound; slight cock; otherwise, the text is clean and unmarked, no writing or notations; binding is sound.
