Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. 6 volumes in illustrated blue cloth over boards, all edges gilt, patterned end papers, each volume has approximately 176 pages each. According to notes written on the ffep of the first volume, there should be 45 colored plates by Marie Low, and there are two missing from the first volume. Volume I: 5 colored plates; Vol. II: 8 colored plates; Vol. III: 7 colored plates; Vol. IV: 7 colored plates; Vol. V: 8 colored plates; Vol. VI: 8 colored plates. All volumes: corners and spine ends bumped and worn, stains on covers and lightly scattered on pages throughout, sometimes affecting plates, text block of Volume IV is cracking.
