Size: Octavo (standard book size). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. Gilt-stamped peach-colored cloth over boards, top-edge dyed pink, pages uncut, (xx), 178 pages, Index, illustrated in black and white, some of the images are tipped-in. Fitch selected the high points of his trip around the world to publish in this travel memoir. He took a boat from Seattle to Japan, then the Philippines (primarily Manila), Hong Kong, Canton, Singapore, Rangoon (Burma), various cities in India, and Egypt. He provides some tips for travelers. Corners and spine ends bumped, light staining along edges.
