Gilt-stamped brown cloth over boards, 354 pages, Alfred de Musset’s autobiographical novel tells of his brief affair with George Sand. This copy is from the library of playwright Clifford Odets and is blind-stamped with his name on ffep. Odets (1906-1963) is considered the defining American playwright of the 1930s and revered as one of drama’s greatest crusaders for social justice.
