Light blue paper over boards, edges deckled,108 pages, plus 4-page prospectus of “A New Series of the Universal Magazine”, illustrated with nine plates. Title continues: “Uniting the Scotch and Austrian Methods into One Regular System. To Which are Added Remarks on the Spadroon.” Front board detached, spine heavily chipped with signatures showing, rear board almost detached, both boards are heavily chipped and stained, paper loss from removed bookplate[?] on front paste-down, scattered staining, dampstaining and minor wrinkling, still highly readable.
