Size: 4to. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. Previous owner’s name in pencil on front free end paper. “To Which Is Added a Complete Treatise on Mathematical Instruments. Also, Mensuration, Tables of the Weights and Cohesive Strength of the Several Materials Used in the Construction of Buildings, Etc.” Gilt stamped leather spine and brown cloth over boards, 141 pages, [3], 48 plates (several figures on each plate) one side of page only. Spine leather is torn and worn with some missing at head of spine, cloth on boards is soiled, worn, large piece torn off near top left, corners bumped, front cover separated about an inch top and bottom, front free endpaper a little loose as is first signature, scattered foxing throughout but mostly at front and back, paper lightly toned, previous owner has done very nice color pencil drawings on rear end papers and on front free end paper (obviously trying out his architectural skills).
