Size: 4to. Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is sound. Previous owner’s name in ink on front paste-down. Green gilt stamped cloth over boards, 534 pages, illustrated with color plates as well as black-and-white photographs in the text. Includes eight unsigned Denton color plates of fish (Hickory Shad; Tahoe Trout; Banded Pickerel; Mascalonge; Long Eared Sunfish; Sea Bass; Red Snapper; Scup/Porgy); three color plates of insects by L. H. Joutel; four color plates of animals by Oliver Kemp (Moose, Elk., Adirondack Deer, Adirondack Black Bear); twelve color plates of birds by Louis Agassiz Fuertes; and eight unsigned color plates of autumn foliage. Corners and spine ends bumped and worn, rear cover stained, front hinge cracked, frontispiece and title page loose but present, a few instances of interior staining, affecting the upper blank margin of the Tahoe Trout plate.
