Description: We offer a decorative bowl by master potter Richard Lafean. The piece is 7” wide and 1 ½” high and is signed on the underside. It has a putty colored glaze and a pleasant open shape with the lower part of the bowl unglazed and showing the rough, reddish colored stoneware.

Richard Lafean was a curator at the Corcoran Gallery of Art and an instructor at the Columbia Visual Arts Center. Lafean was a prolific potter and influential teacher. Many artists name him as a formative guide in their practice.
