Description: This original late 19th c. boudoir cabinet photograph shows a linear group of patriotically-garbed ladies saluting a male officer. The women are wearing striped skirts, spangled shirts with badges pinned to them (each with a large star with the text hard to read) and military style caps. They each hold some sort of striped spear in their non-saluting hands save for the right-most figure who holds a sword.
Verso has the backmark of B. F. Taylor of Clearwater, Kansas and identification in pencil: “McKinley League Escort”. Image measures: 4 3/4″ x 7 3/4″. Overall: 5″ x 8″. Item #P00183
Condition: Overall soil, especially visible in the sky. Generally good condition.
