Description: This powerful image was designed by Lithuanian American Social Realism artist Ben Shahn. It features a hooded and shackled man against a brick wall with a ticker tape style text describing the 1942 massacre of the people of Lidice, Czechoslovakia. Blank lower margin indicates the poster was issued by the U.S. Office of War Information in 1942.

Condition: Slight edge loss at lower left corner, fold lines as “issued” with a short separation at the edge of one fold, three sets of staple holes at upper edge, generally good condition. Shrunk wrapped on 1/2″ foamcore (not laid down).
