Description: Printmaker Nat Lowell (1880-1956) is best known for his detailed etchings of New York City and its landmarks.

We offer a rich impression of just such a print – Central Park South. It is pencil signed lower right: "Nat Lowell". We believe this to have been issued by the Associated American Artists in 1947 in an edition of 250.

Printed on a sheet of cream-colored wove paper that measures: 12 1/4" x 15 7/8". Platemark is 8 3/4" x 12 3/8".

Lowell studied at the Art Students League with Carroll Beckwith, Siddons Mowbray and Gutzon Borglum. His works are in the holdings of the Library of Congress, Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York Historical Society, Albright-Knot Art Gallery, etc. Item #PR00172.

Condition: Two original pieces of hinging tape at top blank margin, otherwise very good.
