Description: We offer a late 19th c. Chinese sang de boeuf ginger jar mounted as an elegant lamp. It is approximately 22” tall and 6” in diameter; a well-proportioned ginger jar (9″ high) on a carved base with an adjustable brass pipe, two bulb sockets and a small brass faux bois finial at the top. It was likely converted to a lamp in the 1920’s or 30’s, the jar is late 19th century. With rich color and pleasingly glossy lemon peel surface this lamp makes a dramatic yet understated entrance into a variety of interior settings. Item #DA00215.

Condition: There is some crazing in the glaze of the jar, minor surface wear to the brass lid, good condition overall.
