Description: American singer Kate Smith (1907-1986) signed and inscribed this 4 1/4″ x 6″ album page: “To Miss C. Becker with sincere wishes from Kate Smith”. In another hand, the page is dated March 7, 1932.
Kate Smith, known as the First Lady of Radio and the Songbird of the South, was a contralto singer with a career that spanned five decades. She is best known for her recording of Irving Berlin’s “God Bless America”, a recording that is often played before important professional sports games.

Condition: Bottom right corner creased (signature unaffected), light soil at edges. Overall very good condition with a large, bold signature.
