Description: American author Edward Eggleston (1837-1902) wrote and signed the quotation “Reflect on the value of time” on this 7″ x 4 1/2″ sheet of plain stationery.

Eggleston is known for writing the “Hoosier” series, including The Hoosier Schoolmaster, A Story of Backwoods Life in Indiana (1871), which are noted for their realistic depictions of 19th century American rural life.
