Description: American financier and entrepreneur Cyrus West Field (1819-1892) boldly inked his singularly dramatic signature on this 1 7/8″ x 3 1/4″ card.

Cyrus West Field is best remembered for his instrumental role in creating the Atlantic Telegraph Company and laying the first telegraph cable across the Atlantic Ocean in 1858.
