Description: This expertly executed watercolor features two belted kingfishers on a branch. One has just successfully fished and holds its catch in its beak.  Signed by the artist lower right: “R. Van Steinburg”.

Robert Van Steinburg (1927-2017) held a BFA in painting, illustration and art education from Syracuse University. He was a member of the Central New York Watercolor Society and was in the art department at Herkimer College. His work has been featured on greeting cards and at numerous exhibits, including Munson Williams Proctor Art Institute.

Condition: A few small spots in the blank margins, otherwise fine condition with strong colors.
