Description: Joe Jefferson (1829-1905), one of the most famous actors of the 19th century, boldly signed this 2″ x 4″ card that has been framed with an engraved image of Jefferson costumed in his best known role, Rip Van Winkle. Jefferson played Rip Van Winkle for more than 40 years during his wildly successful 76-year career.

Framed to approximately: 12 3/4″ x 7 3/4″. Verso of frame has a certificate of authenticity from noted autograph authority Charles Hamilton. Item #A01554

Condition: Faint spots near the “J” of “Jefferson”, otherwise very good condition, not examined out of frame.
