Green gilt stamped cloth over boards, decorated endpapers, all edges red, 224 pages, General Index, several full-page engravings of machines, fold-out of the Harris-Corliss Engine, 1894 Type (Gear Side), fold-out of the Harris-Corliss Engine, 1894 Type (Crank Side, numerous tables and formulas, illustrations in the text, pages 206-224 are illustrated advertisements for various manufacturing companies, including the Weston Patent Power Traveling Crane. Covers scuffed, worn at spine ends, edges and corners, small dent top edge both covers, previous owner names on title page and page facing, some pages have creased corners, rumpled corners, light soil from handling and a very occasional pencil mark.
