Description / Comments:
Size: 8vo – over 7¾” – 9¾” tall. Text body is clean and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. Though this book’s title suggests that it is geared to teaching in the tropics, aside from the design of the art room, all of the lessons apply equally to any art teacher teaching in any school. The author has a nice way of instructing the teacher in how to present the lessons, with considerable emphasis on making the children feel their ideas and creations are valued. Blue cloth over boards, 192 pp., illustrated with line drawings and b & w photographs, includes a section of Lessons for a school year, by grade or year. In an illustrated dustjacket that is soiled, that is chipped at corners, spine ends, and edges, price-clipped. Book has a stamp from the Women’s Occupation Training Center of Abeokuta (Nigeria) on the front free endpaper. Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: 2 lbs 1 oz. Category: Art, Art Related; Instructional & How to; Inventory No: 005341.
