Description: Queen Victoria boldly penned her signature “Victoria R I” onto this small slip of paper. The “R I” stands for “Regina Imperatrix,” or, “Queen and Empress”. We assume the signature was excised from a larger document as the queen also inked “App’d:” [approved] above her signature.
Attractively framed with a 19th c. portrait engraving of the young queen and a linen mat to: 13 1/4″ x 9″. Sight size: 2″ x 3″. Item #A01675
Queen Victoria (1819-1901) was the Queen of the United Kingdom for 63 years, beginning in 1837.
Condition: Fine condition, not examined out of frame.
