Description

Description: In 1871 Simon Ingersoll, not formally educated, invented the percussion rock drill and established his company in New York City. His invention had an enormous impact on speed and convenience in a whole gamut of mining and tunneling operations.

This scarce, printed on one side, price list itemizes the sizes and prices of his drills and parts. It is 12″ x 9 1/2″ and printed on thin paper. Though undated, it appears to be 1870’s or 1880’s and has two wonderful wood-engraved cuts of the drill in action. Item #AM00242
