Description: We offer an original signed linoleum cut of a surrealistic figure by Angeles Ballester. The image is 11” x 16 ¾” on 14 ¾” x 16 ¾” paper. It is signed and editioned in graphite along the lower margin: “23/100 Angeles Ballester” and has a monogram “AB” in the plate at the lower right corner. The composition has a modernist and lyrical sensibility and is printed with crisp marks in two colors: inky navy blue over deep lavender. Ballester has rendered the classic “reclining nude” with a surrealistic folk approach that is quite appealing. Item #PR00377.
