Description: American writer Mary Cheever penned and signed this friendly letter in 1981 to a Helen and George which reads: “Here is your copy of my poems and the magazine story with the nice picture of me and John. It is my only spare copy of the article, but I’m sure you will show it to Nellie. It was lovely to see you last week. Sincerely, Mary.”

Written on a 7 3/4″ x 5 5/8″ sheet of “Mrs. John Cheever Cedar Lane Ossining, New York 10562” imprinted stationery. Item #A01653

Mary Cheever is remembered for being part of a prominent literary family, the most famous of which was her husband John Cheever. She is the author of The Changing Landscape: A History of Briarcliff Manor – Scarborough and The Need for Chocolate and Other Poems.

Condition: Mailing fold line, otherwise very good condition.
