Description: In this typed letter signed (part form letter) Adams informs an applicant that he was not accepted into one of his photographic workshops and refunds the deposit. The letter is on a sheet of 11 x 8 1/2″ stationery imprinted: “Ansel Adams Workshops… Carmel, California…” and is signed exuberantly in Sharpie.

Ansel Adams (1902-1984), landscape photographer and environmentalist, is most known for his black and white, sharp focus images of the American West.

Condition: Mailing fold lines, staple holes upper blank margin, otherwise very good. Sold with several pages of workshop ephemera and correspondence (not signed by Adams) and the deposit refund stub.
