Description: This 1944 edition of Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World is inscribed and signed by the author on the front free end paper. Huxley’s inscription reads: “For Mr. Norman Pollock with all good wishes, Aldous Huxley 1957.”  The book is dated 1932 but has a “C-T” code on the copyright page which probably means it was published in March of 1944.

Aldous Huxley (1894-1963) was an English writer and philosopher. His book, A Brave New World is a dystopian novel first published in 1932. He was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature nine times.

Book measures 8 1/4″ x 5 7/8″. Light blue paper over boards with a printed spine label, fore-edge untrimmed, 311 pages. Published by Harper & Brothers of New York and London. Item #A01678

Condition: Light wear at extremities, especially at corners and spine ends, previous owner’s name in ink on front paste-down. Generally very good with a large, bold signature.
