Description: This excised half-title page for Grandma Moses American Primitive is signed by the subject of the book. In her characteristic, slightly shaky hand, she has written: “Dec 21, 1948, Anna Mary Robertson Moses. Grandma Moses.”

Anna Mary Robertson Moses (1860-1961), known popularly as Grandma Moses, was an American folk artist who worked primarily with paint and with yarn embroidery; she started her professional work as an artist at the age of 78.

Condition: Light toning, a small stain near bottom edge and one along the left margin, otherwise very good condition with  large, bold signatures.
