Description: This August 10, 1946 check for $35.99 was written out to Stephen F. Plummer by American artist Maxfield Parrish. Parrish used a personal check that has his name printed along the left side and is drawn on The Windsor County National Bank of Windsor, VT.

Maxfield Parrish (1870-1966), painter and illustrator, was known for his distinctive color palette, especially his blues. His prints, Daybreak in particular, were some of the most popular prints of the 20th century.

Condition: The first part of “Stephen” has a stain, a few scattered rust marks, two vertical folds, perforated cancellation does not touch signature. Generally good condition with a large, bold signature.
