Description: We offer Kenneth Roberts’ autograph in an unusual, and highly appropriate, format. In 1936, Roberts, the writer of historical fiction, orders two history books presumably for research. The Albany, New York bookstore, John E. Scopes & Co. had printed postcard order forms. Roberts has filled out the order, penned his name and address and mailed it from his Kennebunk Beach, Maine home. The address panel is philatelically interesting with multiple cancellations and a special delivery hand stamp and postage.
