Description: Randall Thompson (1899-1984), an American composer best known for his choral works, neatly signed and inscribed a musical notation from Pierrot and Cothurnus on a sheet of stationery from the Sagamore Hotel of Rochester, NY. Thompson composed symphonies, operas and vocal works including AlleluiaThe Peaceable KingdomAmericana, and The Testament of Freedom. Thompson has crossed out the heading of the stationery and written: “I suggest you cut this part off!”
