Calvin Coolidge (1872-1933) became Vice President under Warren Harding in 1921, then rose to the presidency upon Harding’s sudden death in 1923. Coolidge is remembered for his stalwart support of racial equality and his laissez-faire approach to government.
Typed on an 11″ x 8 1/2″ sheet of stationery imprinted “Calvin Coolidge Northampton Massachusetts”. Item #A01522
Condition: Mailing fold lines, letter is still adhered to a sheet from one of those ubiquitous “sticky” page photo albums. The glue from the page has migrated to the recto of the letter leaving tidy, vertical stripes. In general good condition with large, bold signatures.
