Description: American author, humorist, editor, and columnist Irvin S. Cobb (1876-1944) energetically dashed off this brief thank you note on June 25, 1931. The letter reads: “My Dear Mr. Beach – Thank you! Yours Gratefully Irvin S. Cobb”.

Written on an 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ sheet of Irvin S. Cobb’s personal imprinted stationery. Item #A01589

Irvin S. Cobb was a staff writer for Joseph Pulitzer’s paper, New York World. He was known for his penetrating humor and for writing more than 60 books and 300 short stories.

Condition: Mailing folds, mounting remnants on verso. Generally very good condition with a large, bold signature.
