Description: A fine example of a check from Orville Wright to his long-time housekeeper, Carrie [Kayler] Grumbach, for the amount of $239.54. Check is written on his account at the City National Bank and Trust Co. of Dayton, Ohio on July 13, 1929.

Orville Wright (1871-1948), part of the aviation pioneer duo (Wright Brothers), is credited with successfully constructing and flying the first motor-driven airplane.

3″ x 9″, archivally matted to 17″ x 14 3/4″ with an image of the Wright Brothers’ first flight. Item #A01272

Condition: Light vertical fold, cancellation holes do not touch the strong signature. Generally very good.
