Description: This moody oil on board is signed lower right: “F. W. Loven”. On the verso it is indistinctly inscribed, dated 1908[?] and clearly titled “Waste Lands”.

Frank W. Loven (1868-1941) was born and was active in Jersey City, New Jersey. He received art training from Birge Harrison, Frank V. Dumond, and John F. Carslson. In 1916 he was elected a member of the Salmagundi Club.

8″ x 10″, framed in a modern frame to: 14″ x 16″. Item #FA00367
