Description: Dame Emma Albani, the celebrated Canadian operatic soprano of the 19th and early 20th centuries exuberantly signed this 2″ x 3 5/8″ card in Toronto in 1903. The card is matted with an original photograph of the singer dressed in costume: a gown bedecked with jewels, a pearl necklace with a large cross pendant, tightly curled coif topped with a white feather.
Emma Albani Gye (1847-1930) had a wildly successful career performing across Europe and North America. She was the first Canadian singer to become an international star.

Condition: Mounting remnants on verso, otherwise very good condition with a large, strong signature.
