Description: Operatic Soprano Marcella Sembrich (1858-1935) penned her neatly flourished signature on this 2 3/8” x 3 3/8” piece of stiff paper. Dated 1898 in ink below the signature.

 

Marcella Sembrich was the stage name of Prakseda Marcelina Kochanska, the Polish operatic soprano who had an international singing career at the New York Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera House in London, and the Italian Opera in St. Petersburg. Item #A00801.
