Description

Description: As a student at Andover Theological Seminary in 1832 Smith wrote the lyrics to “America” (My Country ‘Tis of Thee). Sixty years later he hand wrote the first seven lines and signed “S. F. Smith” and noted the date of his original creation and his “Nov. II, 1892″ quote.
