Description: A wonderful 1862 albumen photograph of an ancient stone arched doorway with an ancient woman seated next to it (for scale?).

Identified and titled on the mount. The photo is by Francis Bedford and was printed and published by Francis Frith as part of "Gems of Photographic Art" (1862).

Photo is 8 1/4" x 6 1/2" on a mount that measures 14" x 11".

Condition: Mount has light dampstaining around perimeter, as well as foxing. Miraculously, the photo has been spared, and is a crisp image with very good contrast and resolution.
