Description: Scarce banknote sized part-printed certificate entitling Gurden Gallup one share of stock in the Knox-Ville Academy [Knoxville, NY]. Dated in manuscript Sept. 1, 1836 and signed by the President, Amos Crary, and the Secretary, Almenin Gallup.

3 1/4" x 7 5/8". Certificate is printed by Wm. H. Gallup, Schoharie (apparently they kept it all in the family!). Item #AM00139.

Condition: Several fold lines with some separation reinforced on verso with archival repair tissue/tape.
