Description: This part-printed vellum document gives title to 2000 acres of land northwest of the Ohio River, “in consideration of military service… in the Virginia Line on Continental Establishment”.

James Madison has signed at the lower right, as has Secretary of State Robert Smith. The official embossed paper seal is intact at the lower left.

13 1/4″ x 11″, archivally matted with an engraved portrait and attractively framed to: 19 1/4″ x 21 1/4″. Item #A01705

Condition: Fold lines with 2 small spots of loss, otherwise very good condition. Affixed to the verso dust cover is a Kenneth Rendell Gallery label with description.
