Description

Description: This fifteenth century illuminated manuscript leaf most likely comes from a Book of Hours. The text is written in Latin in red and black ink. One side has an illuminated capital with floral decoration at the top left corner and 16 lines of text. The artist used red and blue ink and gold leaf for the decoration. The other side also has 16 lines of text with simpler decoration in blue ink and gold leaf.

The vellum leaf measures approximately 3 3/8″ x 2 3/8″. Item #FA00427

Condition: Light overall soil, otherwise very good condition.
