|Description: We offer an original pencil signed lithograph by Robert Kipniss. The composition is 11” x 10”, in two colors, printed on white wove paper and housed in an aluminum frame with the outside dimensions 18” x 17”. The print is signed and editioned just under the composition in graphite: “4/120 Kipniss.” It features his signature precise, yet soft atmospheric landscape of houses and wispy trees. Item #PR00331.
Robert Kipniss (1931- ) studied at the Art Students League in New York City, Wittenburg University, and the University of Iowa. He began his career as a painter, then moved primarily into lithography before turning to the mezzotint. His work is in the permanent collections of many of the world's best known museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the British Museum, and the Smithsonian. He was elected to the National Academy of Design in 1980.
