Description: Meyerbeer (1791-1864) was one of the most famous and successful composers of Opera in Europe during the mid-19th century. In this one-page autograph letter signed (in German) he sends tickets to a performance of his comic opera Le Pardon de Ploermel (Dinorah) as well as the piano part to be given to the music patroness, Madame Leo. Matted with the front wraps of a program for a performance of one of his operas (1865). Overall 14" x 17". Item #A00196

Condition: Three horizontal fold lines, one tiny hole in left blank area. Otherwise, very good condition.
