Description: We offer an original hand colored lithograph by Currier and Ives. The print is 14 ¾” x 20 ½” in period gilded frame measuring 21 ½” x 26 ½”. The text along the lower margin reads “published by Currier & Ives, 152 Nassau St. New York. Sunny Side: The residence of the late Washington Irving, near Tarrytown.” Sunnyside was the home of Washington Irving, who embellished his early Hudson River farmhouse with varying elements of Dutch Colonial Revival, Scottish Gothic, and Tudor Revival architecture. It is now an iconic and much beloved historic landmark, reproduced by an iconic and much beloved printmaking duo Nathaniel Currier and James Merritt Ives. Item #PR00275.
