Description: A splendid transfer-printed memorial to Great Britain's famous poet laureate.

This 7" high water pitcher features a bold portrait of Tennyson within the framework of a crowned lyre below which is a ribbon banner indicating an 1809 birth and an 1892 death.

The pitcher's other side pictures an open book with lines from Tennyson's elegiac poem, "Crossing the Bar".

Underside is marked with the black logo of Doulton Burslem. Approximately 7" high and 7 3/4" from handle to spout. Item #DA00157.

Condition: Fine condition - no cracks, chips or repairs.
