Description: Captain Bob Bartlett (1875-1946) led more than forty expeditions to the Arctic, including accompanying Commander Robert Peary on his attempts to reach the North Pole.

On this Christmas card, which features an image of his Schooner "Effie M. Morrissey", Bartlett has written a short note stating in part: "I am not long back. Had a fine trip and now at Gloucester, Massachusetts. Here I shall put the Morrissey in moth balls for the winter."

Signed under the printed Yuletide Greeting "Bob Bartlett". 5" x 7". Item #A00793.

Condition: Mounting residue on blank verso has bled through to printed greeting part of card (not affecting signature) and front blank edge of card, otherwise good condition.
