Puuhonua was the 65th annual presentation print for the Print Club of Albany in 1999.
Herman Zaage (1927-2008) was born in New Jersey and lived and worked in New York City for much of his life. He taught printmaking at the New School for Social Research and was a founding member of ART LAB on Staten Island. He was an active member of the Society of American Graphic Artists, the Florida Printmakers, Audobon Artists and the Print Club of Albany. A reproduction of his mezzotint “Mangrove” was included in Carol Wax’s book “The History and Technique of the Mezzotint”
