Description: This fine impression of Lucioni's "Barn in the Hills" was printed as a limited edition of 150 for the Print Club of Albany in 1966. It is signed and dated in the plate at the lower left and in graphite at the lower right.
Lucioni's precise etching lines create a rich and subtle display of variables of light and texture.
Plate mark measures 4 1/2" x 6 3/4" on a heavy wove paper measuring 8 1/2" x 10".
Lucioni (1900-1988) split his time between his studios in Vermont and New York City. In 1941 he was elected to membership in the National Academy of Design. His works are in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney, Victoria and Albert Museum, and most major art museums. Item #PR00322.
