Description: This First Day Cover memorializing President John F. Kennedy was signed by the Roman Catholic Priest who administered Kennedy’s last rites, Oscar L. Huber (1893-1975).
 
A stately black-and-white portrait of John F. Kennedy is at the left side of the First Day Cover, above the words: “In Memoriam John F. Kennedy 1917-1963 35th President of the United States”. At the very bottom is Kennedy’s famous quote: “Ask not what your country can do for you- Ask what you can do for your country…” There are four five-cent stamps featuring an image of a candle flame and JFK’s face surrounded by the words: “And the glow from that fire can truly light the world. 1917 John Fitzgerald Kennedy 1963.” The stamps are cancelled with a “First Day of Issue” ink stamp and there is a circular cancellation stamp for Boston, Massachusetts dated May 29, 1964.
