|Description: We offer a lithographic print by Guillaume Corneille, titled: "Signs I". The composition is 12”x 8 ½” on ivory wove paper housed in a metal frame (16 ¼”X 20 ¼”). Signed, dated and editioned at the lower left in pencil: “25/60 Corneille 61”. Paper is watermarked "Johannot" at bottom right. A primitive fully abstract composition in dark green and red; Corneille’s work became more figurative over the course of his career. Here we see the origins of his unschooled approach to markmaking. Item #PR00192.
