Description: In this 1955 typed letter signed Joan Crawford (1904-1977) talks about working on her film Female on the Beach. She says: “I’m still in production, working hard and love it. The entire cast of ‘Female on the Beach’ is wonderful, as is working at Universal-International. I’m so happy making a picture again.”
 
Crawford won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in Mildred Pierce (1945), and is remembered as one of the greatest female stars of Classic Hollywood Cinema.
In Female on the Beach, she starred as Lynn Markham alongside Jeff Chandler as Drummond Hall.
 
Typed on stationery imprinted with the address: “426 North Bristol Avenue Los Angeles 49, California”. 10” x 6 ¼”. Includes original transmittal envelope. Item #A01104.
 
Condition: Fold lines, otherwise in very good condition with a large, bold signature.
